Erindale Theatre Upgrades with JBL BRX300 Self-Powered Modular Line Array System

JBL’s latest self-powered modular line array system, the BRX300, was recently installed as part of the audio system upgrade at the Erindale Community Theatre in the Australian Capital Territory.

The theatre is extremely flexible when it comes to catering for any local community group to large professional theatrical productions as it is situated in a complex with Erindale College and the Active Leisure Centre, giving it a true communal feel.

The venue can accommodate up to 443 people and features a fully operational fly tower system for professional-looking set changes (one of only three in Canberra), a large screen audio-visual system, and an orchestra pit with advanced acoustic design for the best sound quality.

Because of the variety of performances and events held at the theatre, the new audio system’s criteria and specifications included being portable, easily manageable, and of the highest quality. With its plug-and-play simplicity, built-in corrective signal processing, smart transport system, and hassle-free rigging hardware, the BRX300 modular line array system met all of the requirements.

The BRX300 components that were used in the installation are as follows:

16 x JBL BRX308 – Dual 8-inch LF drivers and 3-inch titanium compression driver
4x JBL BRX325 – Dual 15-inch woofers

Better Music in Canberra was the delivery partner for the BRX 300 system, and they did a brilliant job of coordinating the technical aspects and system installation.
